ACES Appoints new Chief Executive

The ACES security group have announced that Michael Atkins has been appointed as its new Chief Executive.
Michael joins ACES at an exciting stage of their development, with a broadening client base, and a wide range of professional consulting services increasingly being taken up by their clients.
The ACES group has grown from a strong 25 year history of contract commercial security for corporate, government and state owned corporation client sites and locations, concert and event security, as well as an expanding portfolio of consulting services in the safety, risk and training fields. ACES Director and founder, Andrew Tatrai commented that âMichaelâs skill set in leading operational management, marketing and professional consulting services is an ideal background to develop the numerous business development opportunities we have identified. Both Travis Semmens, General Manager and I join in welcoming Michael to ACES. "
Michael brings over 20 years of professional services industry experience to ACES, with a strong emphasis on service quality, logistics and marketing. Previously Chief Operating Officer with the marketing arm of the Korean owned, Hyundai Kia Automotive Group, Innocean Australia, Michael oversaw a massive growth in both marquesâ market share, when they became the 2010 fastest growing auto brands in Australia.
Prior to that COO role, Michael founded, and then ran a marketing and strategic services business for many years, covering industry sectors as diverse as telecommunications, leisure, energy, financial services, tourism and government. The early part of Michaelâs career was overseas with global express, logistics and mail carrier, TNT Express. Firstly in Tokyo, Japan as Regional General Manager, then as part of the head office team based in the UK, covering 46 countries in the global network.
Michael is very optimistic about the future growth potential for ACES, commenting "ACES has such a great blue-chip corporate and government client base, so, combined with specific skills in the concert, entertainment and events area, we will able to continue developing the core business, whilst exploring new revenue opportunities.
"Further growth will come from our fast expanding Safety, Risk, OH&S and Training services, operating under the respective ACES divisional names and branding. I look forward to working closely with the excellent ACES management team, dedicated staff, and of course, our valued clients, alliance partners and other stakesholders."
