A5M conference to present world leading experts on nutrition and lifestyle
In a major coup, A5M have secured the international authority and world leader on nutrition, weight management, chronic disease prevention, lifestyle medicine and integrative medicine Dr David Katz as a keynote speaker at this weekend’s 10th annual conference to be held in Melbourne.
In this unique and highly coveted opportunity, nutritionists will hear firsthand key insights from Dr Katz’s research and expertise in his keynote presentation titled, Anti-Aging From Altitude: A Holistic View of the Elephant in the Room.
Dr Katz is the founding Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Centre, President of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and the recipient of numerous accolades including being named as one of the 100 most influential people in health and fitness in the world by Greatist.com.
The A5M Conference is an ideal opportunity to hear about the latest industry research and how it can be integrated through medical protocols from Australian and international authorities in the industry.
In addition to Dr Katz, delegates will hear from other acclaimed leaders in integrative and preventative medicine
At the pre-conference workshop Professor Michael Fenech, who is renowned internationally for developing the cytokinesis block micronuclei (CBMN) assay will illuminate delegates on the emerging field of Nutrigenetics and Nutrigenomics in his talk, The OMICS & ETICS of Personalised Nutrition & Lifestyle for Healthy Ageing.
Professor Fenech will provide key insights based from the latest research on how emerging knowledge around nutrigenetics and nutrigenomics can be applied to optimise health, prevent and treat diseases. He will also show practitioners how to read, understand and interpret nutrigenetic and nutrigenomic research results.
Another world leader, Dr Thomas G. Guilliams Ph.D who is an expert in the therapeutic uses of nutritional supplements, has developed a wide array of products and programs which allow clinicians to use nutritional supplements and lifestyle interventions as safe, evidence-based and effective tools for a variety of patients.
In his conference talk, Oversimplified and Underleveraged: New Strategies for Modifying the Stress Response Beyond the Adrenal Glands, Dr Guilliams will demonstrate how he believes the medical community lacks a fundamental awareness of the large body of stress research from the past two decades. His not-to-be-missed talk will introduce clear principles to achieve a deeper understanding of the HPA axis and stress-responses and show practitioners how to use this knowledge to allow for better patient outcomes related to stress-related chronic disease management.
The A5M Conference is being held at the Sofitel Mebourne on 5th and 6th August.
