YMCA Australia appoints new Chief Executive

The Board of YMCA Australia has announced the appointment of Ron Mell as its new Chief Executive.

Mell is the current Chief Executive of YMCA Perth and an acknowledged leader within the 'Y' movement in Australia.

YMCA Australia President explained that Ron's "values, qualities, experience and credentials make him the ideal person to lead the YMCA Movement to the next level."

Mell fills a vacancy that became available following the resignation of former YMCA Australia Chief Executive Katherine Pengilly after just six months in the post.

National Board Peter Malone filled the role of interim Chief Executive (taking leave from his employer and has stepping down from the National Board) while the recruitment of a permanent Chief Executive was undertaken.
