Yardstick to expand Leisurecheck program to arenas and sports halls

Following discussions with the Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand (EVANZ) the managers of the 'Yardstick' Leisurecheck management measures survey looks set to expand their benchmarking, performance monitoring and improvement program to arenas, event centres and sports halls/stadiums.

The move will see the current program adapted to the specific needs of arenas, event centres and sports halls/stadiums. With changes currently in a draft format, input is sought on the information requirements of arenas, event centres and sports halls/stadiums with feedback invited on these changes from any current or prospective Yardstick members.

Developed for parks and aquatic and recreation facilties, the Yardstick benchmarking tool collects management and planning information to measure current performance and drive future improvements. Founded in New Zealand, it is widely used in New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
