Winx Stand Royal Randwick to host Sydney’s new food and beverage festival

Sydney's new premium drinks and food festival ‘Finer Drop’ will be held at The Winx Stand, Royal Randwick in November.

The Finer Drop is produced by SpecTAPular Enterprises, the team behind some of Australia’s popular events including the GABS Craft beer Festivals, the Canberra Craft Beer & Cider Festival, the Hunter Valley Wine & Beer Festival as well as Australia’s largest and most influential craft beer consumer poll, the GABS Hottest 100. 

The Finer Drop Festival will offer a summer picnic style event that brings together a range of premium beverage and gourmet food producers at the world class WINX Stand, Royal Randwick Sydney. 

Wines, bubbles, cocktails, spirits and craft beers will be on offer along with opportunities to win prizes from Porsche and Sydney Seaplanes and enjoy live music and lawn games with friends.

Wines include those from the 2024 Halliday Winery of the Year, Bleasdale, along with many of the Hunter Valley's premium wineries, including Bimbadgen, Glandore, Lisa McGuigan, Peterson House, Savannah Estate, Petersons, Tulloch and Winmark wineries.

Beers include those from Australia Indies Champion Beer of 2023 winners, Dollar Bill Brewing, GABS Hottest 100 winners, Mountain Culture, trendsetters One Drop Brewing Co and Mate Maker, Australia’s oldest independent, family-owned brewing institution Coopers Brewery or International guests Seven Seals (Greece) and Garage Project (New Zealand).

A wide range of delicious cocktails, gins, whiskys, rums, vodkas, tequilas and mixers will also be on offer from Archie Rose, Banks & Solander, Billsons, Bushmills Irish Whiskey, Ester Spirits, Fever Tree, Heathcote Gin, Karu, Kraken Spiced Rum, Makers Mark, Manly Spirits, Mexink, Morris Whisky, Pants Off, Sodasmith, The West Winds and Vivir Tequila.

The fine drops are going to be complemented by an exclusive dining experience, with dishes curated by the Three Blue Ducks. Guests can also browse through a bespoke art gallery with an exclusive selection from some of the Hunter Valley’s most talented artists, as well as being able to select perfect festive season gifts from the Feather Sisters beauty range from Melinda Willis, the exclusive fashion label BSSA and more in the market zone.

There will be entertainment throughout, with fantastic tunes from Hot Potato Band, who will have just returned from a tour in New Zealand. Guests can indulge their artistic talents with painting classes by celebrated artist Julianne Ross Alcorn, as they enjoy a range of wines in the Winmark Paint and Sip Sessions or join in the many masterclasses presented by Archie Rose, Makers Mark and others.
