WIN Expands Dragons Support

The WIN Corporation has confirmed that the re-developed Kogarah Oval in suburban Sydney is to be known as the WIN Jubilee Oval.

The recently redeveloped venue, formerly known as the OKI Jubilee Stadium, is the home stadium of the NRL's St. George Illawarra Dragons.

The naming rights deal with WIN, Australia's largest commercial television network, gives the broadcaster the naming rights at both Dragons venues.

For the upcoming 2009 NRL season, WIN Jubilee Oval and WIN Stadium, Wollongong will each host six games.

Explaining the deal, Andrew Gordon, Chairman of WIN Corporation stated "WIN are extremely proud supporters of the Dragons and it's due to our unwavering support that we have committed to the Jubilee Oval naming rights partnership. The partnership is a natural extension of our association with the team, which is so much a part of the heart and soul of the Illawarra and St George region. We are excited that all of the Dragons home games will be played at WIN grounds in 2009."

WIN Jubilee Oval has undergone consistent renovation over the past five years with support from the NSW and Federal Governments. The new southern wing has made a significant impact on the Kogarah landscape and will provide a major improvement in the quality of reserved grandstand seating. In addition it will house corporate facilities plus a renovated 'Legends Club' and additional patron facilities.

Other features include a passenger lift and a separate goods lift to the new industrial kitchen and two preparation kitchens that will service 1,100 meals on game day.
