What will be the top five tourist attractions of 2021?

By Kunal Sawhney

Consistently over the past few months, the Coronavirus has been showing its dreadful effects with he only hope of liberation from the COVID-19 pandemic being a successful global vaccination program.

To assure instantaneous recovery, large scale vaccination drives are going on. But vaccinating over 7 billion people is no easy task and the world economy needs an alternative way to revive. Various economies have been utterly shattered due to low demand, disturbed supply chain and health care crisis.

What about the civilians? People around the world are home-stuck because of the new work from home culture and travel restrictions. However, some countries are now allowing movement with precaution and constant vigilance.

Countries that have performed comparatively better to tackle the pandemic are unlocking their borders. People are allowed to travel and relish the experience of freedom once again. Countries like the USA have begun a ‘list system’, in which people can easily travel to the green listed countries.

Now that people from a few countries can quench their thirst for travel, the pandemic travel experience must be special. For that, travellers need to visit places where they’ll be safe and also have the experience of their lifetime.

The following are the top five tourist attractions in 2021.

Paris
The heaven on earth, Paris is open for international tourism. Travellers who are looking for a trip that encompasses beautiful sunsets, romanticism, and culture like nowhere else to be seen, need to book their travel plans for Paris. In the 2021 trip, get lured with the beauty of Paris’ stylish boutiques and hotels.

Egypt
Egypt, the ‘gift of the Nile’ houses one third of all the world’s antiquities. Egypt has the only remaining monument of the seven wonders of the ancient world: the pyramids at Giza. Apart from that, the country offers a lot to travellers, from its unique culture to food to destinations. And fortunately, its borders are open for international tourists.

Maldives
Maldives is not a new member among world’s best tourist destinations. However, this year it's catching a distinctive eye due to its incredible new hotels. Currently, safety is the biggest concern, thus, Maldives is probably the best place as it’s secluded and COVID-19 situation there is relatively under control.

Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a place of peace and sustainability. It’s the global leader in conservation and sustainability, using 99.5% clean and renewable energy. Notably, Costa Rica is one of the countries with the lowest fatality rate during the pandemic. One should note that it's the first country to legalise same sex marriages in Central America. Now, one can imagine the level of liberation, safety, freedom, and peace they would experience in Costa Rica.

New Zealand
New Zealand is one of the countries that has dealt with COVID-19 well since the very beginning. Its isolated escapes are the most promising destinations. Travellers should seek out to visit New Zealand for their post pandemic trip as soon as the country reopens its borders for international travellers.

The 2021 trip has two major criteria: safety and optimum fun. After more than a year of lethargy and isolation, borders are finally reopening. Travellers around the world are looking forward to jumping on the next train or catching the next flight to their dream destinations.

However, travellers must maintain COVID-19 protocols and keep an eye on the official guidelines of the tourism ministry of the destination country.
