Walking On a Dream campaign helps Western Australia secure gold at Australian Tourism Awards

Western Australia’s securing of five gold medals at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, follows a stunning Walking On a Dream global and local marketing campaign and a series of major events hosted in the state.

The awards celebrate innovation and exceptional standards in Australian tourism with WA recognised with a total of 12 medals at the industry’s most prestigious awards ceremony, recently held in Sydney.

WA’s outstanding success was also due to the State’s tourism industry experiencing very positive growth during the past 12 months, in the highly competitive global tourism market.

The gold medals were indicative of the wide range of diverse experiences across the State, with the successful businesses located in Exmouth, Broome, Rottnest Island, Bunker Bay and Perth.
