VMA After Five events to be staged in four capitals
In the lead up to Christmas the Venue Management Association (Asia and Pacific) [VMA] is to stage its popular 'After Five' information and networking functions in four state capitals.
The events are:
Adelaide Entertainment Centre - Friday 18th November 2011 - 5.30-7.00pm
Hosted by Sally Arch CFE, former VMA Councillor and General Manager - Venue Services, Adelaide Entertainment Centre
His Majesty's Theatre, Perth - Thursday 24th November 2011 - 5.30-7.30pm
Hosted by Rodney Phillips, Chief Executive, AEG Ogden Perth
Rodney Phillips has been involved in the administration of arts enterprises for over thirty years, holding senior arts administration positions in his native South Africa as well as the United Kingdom. Since moving to Australia Rodney has held senior positions at the both the Lyric Opera of Queensland and the Sydney Opera House. He is currently the Chief Executive of AEG Ogden Perth, the company responsible for the management of Perth Theatre Trust venues. In addition to his Chief Executive role with AEG Ogden, Rodney is also the General Manager of His Majestyï¾s Theatre, Perth.

Welcoming remarks by VMA Past President Steve Romer as well as an interview session with the Coach of the Sydney Kings Basketball team - Ian 'Moose' Robilliard.
The Edge - State Library of Queensland - Thursday 15th December 2011 5.30 - 7.30pm
Hosted by Damien De Groot, A/General Manager, The Edge.
Each of the events include updates on industry developments and networking drinks.
Guests of VMA members are welcome at all events.
The VMA has also announced that its 2012 Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress will be held from 27th to 30th May at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.
