Visit Sunshine Coast and Expedia Group partner on Sunshine Moments promotional campaign

Visit Sunshine Coast and Expedia Group have united to launch the ‘Sunshine Moments’ promotional campaign over the winter season.

The campaign is being rolled out through the Expedia Australia and Wotif Australia channels and includes a dedicated Sunshine Coast landing page, website banners and native placements.

The campaign will run until 30th June 2025 and offers special discount deals at a range of properties across the Sunshine Coast.

Targeting NSW, Victoria and Queensland, the campaign will complement significant growth in airline capacity to the Sunshine Coast. Last week, Jetstar announced an additional 49,000 seats annually on Sunshine Coast services between Sydney and Melbourne.

While it may be winter down south, the Sunshine Moments campaign highlights that the Sunshine Coast offers a warm welcome year-round.

The dedicated landing page provides a comprehensive range of touring, dining and entertainment options, with a focus on marine and outdoor activities to take advantage of the ideal temperate climate.

June sees the start of whale season, with Mooloolaba known as the base for ‘Humpback Highway’ adventures including the pioneering Swimming with Whales.

Winter is also a great time for dining on the Sunshine Coast with The Curated Plate food festival in late July/August regarded as one of Australia’s premier culinary events.

Visit Sunshine Coast Trade & International Manager, Emily Zinowki, said Sunshine Coast operators were optimistic about the winter season noting “the trade really understands that there is no such thing as a southern winter on the Sunshine Coast and with the special deals being offered through the Expedia Group campaign there will be the incentive to book a winter break on the Sunny Coast.

“The expansion of airline capacity into the Sunshine Coast from Australia’s major ports, as well as from New Zealand, means we are extremely well placed to compete strongly for sunshine getaways in the months ahead.”
