Upgraded health club at Cockburn ARC opens to wide acclaim

By Nigel Benton

Cockburn ARC's newly opened health club has been described as offering a "transformative leap forward in fitness, wellness and community connection".

Officially opened on 22nd August 2025 as part of the Cockburn ARC Evolution project, the new health club offers increase in gym floor space and a range of other improvements including a refreshed Mind & Body and Group Fitness Studios, an immersive cycle studio featuring The Trip, new Reformer Pilates offerings and the Technogym Biocircuit and Checkup to elevate the member experience.

Describing the new health club on social media, Cockburn ARC Infrastructure & Operations Coordinator, Sarahjayne Westberg advised "the upgraded spaces reflect our commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and excellence (that are) a credit to the incredible teams behind the scenes, from construction and project management to our dedicated ARC staff who kept services running throughout the 16-month build."

Matt Frost, Digital Sales and Customer Success Manager at Technogym (who supplied equipment throughout the facility), noted "(this) is a must see facility (with) great alignment to consumer trends".

City of Cockburn Chief Executive, Daniel Simms went on to say "the upgraded facilities not only support fitness and wellness - they reinforce Cockburn ARC’s role as a key community hub."

Commenced in early 2024 as part of a wider partnership with the Fremantle Football Club, the upgrade was a part of the larger ARC Evolution project which is being delivered in partnership with Fremantle Football Club, the AFL, Western Australian Government and the WA Football Commission.
