Upgrade program completed at Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre
Alice Springs Mayor Damien Ryan has unveiled upgrade works completed at the popular Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
As reported by NT News, Mayor Ryan along with centre manager Petina Frankli showcased the $761,450 of completed upgrades on Monday, which include a reformatted entrance, admin and kiosk space.
The Centre’s outdoor toilets were also renovated to include a family room within the change rooms.
Mayor Ryan advised “the works were identified and incorporated into the Municipal Plan & Budget 2020/2021, so it is pleasing to now see the new facilities being utilised by patrons.
“The revamped entrance, kiosk, office space and the addition of a family room in the outdoor toilet makes this fantastic community facility even better.”
Revealing that the new upgrades were already a hit with visitors, Franklin added “we’ve had very positive feedback from the community.
“It’s all fresh and clean, and they like to see the council looking after them.
“So it’s been it’s been great to have this facility upgraded.”
