Tourism Australia Agritourism Forum program released

With demand for agritourism growing each year and the value of agritourism in Australia expected to reach about $18 billion by 2025, Tourism Australia is to present a Forum on the market at the upcoming 2024 Australian Regional Tourism Convention.

Aiming to showcase the role of different stakeholders in agritourism world play, The Agritourism Forum: A Collective Perspective, brought to you by Tourism Australia will focus on grass-roots development through to a range of distributors, with each presented speaking about what’s important from their differing perspectives.

Speakers will include:

  • Marcus Falconer, Chief Executive, Australia’s Golden Outback

  • Bede Fennell, Executive General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Tourism Australia

  • Karen Fitzgerald, General Manager, Experiences, Tourism Australia

  • Tanya Jarman, Regional Tourism Manager, Visit Adelaide Hills

  • Kay Tommerup, President, Agritourism Queensland

  • Rose Wright, Founder, Regionality

The Agritourism Forum will be staged Wednesday 9th October at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre, immediately prior to the Australian Regional Tourism Convention being held at the same venue on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th October.

For the Convention and Forum, Australian Regional Tourism has secured special accommodation rates through Rydges, Quest and Aligned Corporate Residences Mackay.
