Tjapukai appoints marketing manager
Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park has appointed Virginia Edwards to the role of Marketing Manager as the award-winning tourism attraction moves ahead with its $12 million transformation.
Announcing the appointment, Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park Chief Executive Geoff Olson explained that Edwards had 20 years' experience in sales and marketing in the Tropical North Queensland tourism industry and would bring valuable contacts and industry knowledge with her to the role.
Olson stated "Virginia joins us as we enter a new phase with Tjapukai currently undergoing a redevelopment of its facilities and products designed to transform the park into Australia's leading venue to experience Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
"The redevelopment is being done in stages so Tjapukai can remain open and continue to engage visitors with Indigenous cultural performances and interactive experiences while behind the scenes a transformation is underway."
Edwards said it was an exciting time to be joining Tjapukai as she would be working to revitalise the marketing direction of the business and overseeing the creation of new promotional collateral.
