TimeTarget wins international innovation and technology award

An innovation in biometric time clocking for event and venue staff, developed by the global TimeTarget team for its client Delaware North, has been recognised by the British Institute of Facilities Management with last week’s presentation of its 2016 Award for Innovation in Technology and Systems.

TimeTarget's Humanforce, which reduces timesheet approval time and payroll processing time, removes manual payslips and improves check in processing times, was recognised for by the award judges as being an application of complex technology in a simple, cost-effective way, clearly articulating the way that it solves a common facility management problem, showcasing applications throughout the sector.

Due to the demanding and flexible nature of the catering industry, Delaware North required software to manage interwoven processes between in-house employees and agency contractors.

Delaware North runs catering and events operations at a number of UK sporting sites, including Wembley Stadium, Emirates Stadium, London Stadium, and airports such as Heathrow and Stansted, as well as Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, the Sydney Cricket Ground and Perth' sDomain Stadium.

The software was 100% mobile and location independent, and included a self-service workforce tool for employees, which included shift-bidding from their mobile devices, eradicating inaccurate employee and worker availability information.

This also saw a reduction in over-booking shifts required to manage no-show shifts. The check in process also included printed wristbands, which included each individual’s location of work within what are usually large venues.

Humanforce was able to give a return on investment of project costs in less than six months.

Commenting on receiving the award, TimeTarget Managing Director Bruce Mackenzie stated “this award is a testament to the countless hours our team dedicated to launching Humanforce in the UK.

"We were already incredibly proud of the workforce management changes we have achieved with Delaware North so this is just the cherry on top.”

The Award was sponsored by Sodexo.

The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) is the professional body for facilities management in the United Kingdom.
