The Trusts Arena to take over its F&B management
After almost six years, The Trusts Arena (Waitakere City Stadium Trust) and Sero Event Management are parting ways with the venue to take over the running of its food and beverage (F&B) services.
The change comes about with The Trusts Arena planning to bring a world class venue experience to the fore as the public looks for a more boutique offering that creates an all-round venue experience while Sero are looking to focus on their rapidly expanding CBD operations.
Renowned for their full event service offering Sero came to The Trusts Arena in 2008, and quickly set about establishing a reputation for outstanding event delivery and great food quality.
Sero Event Management Managing Directo Ben Chapman explains “our time at The Trusts Arena has been great for us, but as the market changes and The Trusts Arena audience changes, The Arena team are wanting to do some really unique things.
"At the same time our own business is rapidly growing in the corporate event space so the time is right.”
The Trusts Arena Chief Executive, Brian Blake adds “with the changes in both our audiences it makes sense to bring the catering all under one roof, we’re looking to make the Food & Beverage part of the venue experience again and bring some really unique New Zealand firsts to our audience.
“It’s really about the experience, with $2 beer at home, instant replays and commentary tracks for sport the offering in the venue has to at least be as good, if not better than at home as we’re all competing for the same entertainment dollar”
Handover will take place throughout October with The Trusts Arena assuming full control as of 1st November.
