The Gabba trials first EBar at an Australian venue
In a technological innovation for those who enjoy a beer when watching sport, The Gabba has begun trialling Australia’s very first EBar - an innovative self-serve drink kiosk that will speed up drink service and allow fans to get back to the action quicker.
The fully automated EBar is cashless and can pour over 200 beers per hour, minimising time spent waiting in lines and ensuring fans don’t miss any of the action.
Advising that the innovation is part of moves to continually enhance the game day experience at venues, Stadiums Queensland Catering and Services Manager, Andrew Whillas stated “the EBar not only provides a great experience for fans, but also speeds things up, and provides a more consistent pour with less wastage.
“The bar is also small and portable, so we can install it temporarily during times of high use, without the need to invest in a full bar.
“I’m excited for fans to get a taste of this new concept when they come to cheer on the Brisbane Lions.”
EBar customers will undergo the same ID and responsible service of alcohol checks as at a standard bar.
The EBar is currently serving XXXX Gold on level four at The Gabba.
