Te Pae Christchurch hires Australian-based Business Development Manager
Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre has announced the appointment of Heidi Heming as Business Development Manager, based in Sydney.
Working closely with Te Pae Christchurch’s locally-based business development team, Heming’s part time role will see her cultivating leads in one of the centre’s core markets.
Heming (pictured) is well known in business event circles in both Australia and New Zealand, most recently for her 11-year tenure with Conventions & Incentives NZ (CINZ).
Advising that the venue’s team is thrilled to have Heming “on the ground” in Australia, Te Pae Christchurch General Manager Ross Steele stated “Heidi is well respected in the industry. She is a superb networker and will be a real asset as we continue to promote Te Pae Christchurch during our pre-opening period.
“While the borders between New Zealand and Australia are currently closed, they will reopen again and this gives Te Pae Christchurch the opportunity to continue face-to-face engagement with our Australian clients.”
Commenting on her new role, Heming advised “I am so excited to be representing Te Pae Christchurch here in the Australian market. I have been watching closely the progress of this venue since day one, so it feels like a natural step to be now part of the Business Development team.
“I'm looking forward to working with the Te Pae Christchurch team and connecting with Australian clients who are looking to host events in Christchurch in the years to come.”
