Taranaki Rugby slashes ticket prices at New Plymouth's Yarrow Stadium

The price of general admission tickets for Taranaki Bulls matches Mitre 10 Cup in New Plymouth have been cut in half for the upcoming season.

With both the east and west stands at the 25,500-capacity Yarrow Stadium closed due to structural issues, prices are being dropped for general admission patrons have been dropped because the view from the northern and southern terrace, where general admission fans can sit, will be partially blocked by elevated marques built at both ends of the ground for hospitality patrons.

The club sent fans an email stating general admission tickets have been reduced from $22 for an adult to $10.50.

Taranaki Rugby acting Chief Executive Paul Veric advised “we’ve realised from our sideline offering and other infrastructure in place that the viewing general admission area is restricted.

"We want to give back to our fans by providing them with a cheaper general admission offering to encourage our communities to come join the celebration.”

A 1,686-capacity temporary stand has also been set up on the sideline.
