Taipei Spa collaborates with AI wellness technology pioneer TechTCM
Silks Hotel Group owned and operated Regent Taipei - an international luxury hotel complex - has launched an all-new wellness concept with Silicon Valley's Traditional Chinese Medicine and Technology pioneer TechTCM.
The new concept integrates the artificial intelligence and big data wellness consulting system into Regent Taipei's 20F Wellspring SPA, a four-time World SPA Awards champion. Targeting urban dweller's busy lives and society's post-pandemic health awareness, this new holistic wellness solution addresses the most commonly present health concerns, ranging from boosting immunity, enhancing cardiovascular strength, alleviating insomnia and facilitating detoxification.
TechTCM has been developed by US Silicon Valley based technology entrepreneur Dr. Phillip Chang, an expert in both traditional Chinese medicine and computer technologies. The heart of this consulting methodology is its AI driven database stored in the cloud and accessible via the computer internet, which contains millions of entries of symptoms and suggested therapies.
The technology is the first to systematically organise and marry data science with the field of traditional Chinese medicine, the oldest form of medical practice hugely popular with users across generations and geography.
Professional Wellspring SPA associates run the diagnostic on a computer, utilise this database to provide individualised consulting, then incorporate the recommendations to tailor-make a unique wellness experience for each guest. The experience is complete with customised essential oil, recommended massage treatment that emphasise target areas, herbal packs that addresses specific ailments and finally a personalised take-home pressure points maintenance kit.
The initiative comes at a time when wellness awareness and standards has significantly increased due to the recent pandemic, and as Wellspring SPA is nominated for its fifth World SPA Awards - Best Taiwan Hotel SPA after four consecutive years. Regent Taipei Managing Director Mr. Simon Wu advises "this service was introduced at first for colleagues and hotel VIPs to provide them with much-needed health advice during the pandemic. After an overwhelming initial response, this project was expanded to an official collaboration between TechTCM and Wellspring SPA to incorporate AI wellness into existing Wellspring SPA treatments. This service is the first and only in the market, which not only represents our commitment to wellness, but is also an important milestone in our digital transformation."
The Wellspring SPA is comprised of 10 spacious treatments rooms, which includes two double rooms, each equipped with hot steamed bath and a personal bath. Trained therapists wait on each client before, during and after the session. Wellspring SPA is a Regent Taipei brand, a concept boasting aromatherapy skills, premier luxury service and a focus on detail.
Wellspring SPA is also the industry pioneer in incorporating traditional Chinese medicine elements with Artificial Intelligent data-driven insights.
