Sydney Royal Easter Show selects Foxtix as official ticketing provider

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) has announced that Foxtix had been selected as the official ticketing provider for Australia's largest annual event, the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Explaining the arrangement RAS Chief executive Peter King stated "we are proud to award Foxtix with the ticketing rights to the Sydney Royal Easter Show. We were impressed by the professionalism, flexibility and fresh approach the team offered throughout the decision making process and are looking forward to working with them in delivering the ticketing services for one of the cornerstone events in the NSW entertainment calendar.
"Foxtix's proposal showed an understanding of our unique requirements and ability to convert this into a package that was simple, flexible, transparent and demonstrated a desire to help grow our event.
"This approach, combined with the unrivalled reach they were able to provide us through a range of News Limited properties, innovative technology, competitive fees and passionate, can-do approach made them the easy choice.
"In addition, as the Show is a Green Event, Foxtixï¾s commitment to the environment and its green initiatives further enforces the synergies we share."
News Ticketing Chief Executive Adam McArthur said he was excited Foxtix was selected to provide the ticketing services to one of Australia's biggest and best events, adding "each year, the Sydney Royal Easter Show provides Australian families with first class entertainment and education. We are thrilled to be working with them in bringing their annual show to life."
As the official ticketing provider, Foxtix will be managing all non-transport ticket sales. CityRail will continue to provide packaged transport and entry tickets to the Show.
McArthur continued "when we entered the market exactly one year ago, we promised we would provide a strong alternative to the ticketing industry with our new energy and service. This signing continues the solid momentum weï¾ve created in shaking up the market."
Since its inception a year go, Foxtix has secured clients such as the Formula One Australian Grand Prix and Motorcycle Grand Prix, Swimming NSW, The WOMADelaide Foundation incorporating WOMADelaide and Earth Station, Perth Racing and the 2011 Brisbane Festival.
The Sydney Royal Easter Show attracts close to one million visitors to its carnival rides and exhibits promoting awareness of rural industries.
