Sydney Roosters partner with UK sportswear brand Castore

UK-based premium sports brand Castore has signed its first kit sponsorship in Australia, agreeing a deal with the NRL’s Sydney Roosters.

Castore was founded in 2015 by brothers Thomas and Phil Beahon, and the premium brand’s five-year agreement with the Sydney Roosters is their first partnership in Australian sport.

Announcing the deal, Castore Managing Director, Thomas Beahon stated “we are thrilled to enter this partnership with the Sydney Roosters, one of Australia’s most successful sporting franchises.

“Our philosophy at Castore is ‘Better Never Stops’, and this is perfectly in sync with the Sydney Roosters’ wonderful tradition and history, as well as their own philosophy to be better each day, both as athletes and individuals.

“This is our first foray into the Australian market, and we are delighted to be doing so by manufacturing and featuring on the famous Tricolours jersey.”

Commenting on the partnership, Sydney Roosters Chief Operating Officer, Jarrod Johnstone advised “the Roosters are proud to have been approached and identified by Castore for their first Australian sporting partnership.

“The Australian Sporting marketing landscape is one of the most competitive in the world and to be identified by Castore as their preferred Club is very humbling.

“We look forward to unveiling an exciting range of products for our Members and fans. Equally, our players are very excited to be wearing Castore apparel for the next five years.”

Best known as tennis star Andy Murray’s apparel sponsor, Castore’s link with Roosters began with discussions when club representatives were in the UK for rugby league’ World Club Challenge earlier this year.

Castore are also the kit sponsor for Scottish football giants Glasgow Rangers FC.
