Sydney International Regatta Centre introduces Jetpacks

More than 500 people have realised their dreams of flying since Jetpack Adventures began operating at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in September 2012.

The first jetpack attraction in the Southern Hemisphere sees guests strap on a jetpack and get propelled up to 10 metres out of the water.

The German-built, water powered jetpack allows guests to control their own launch out of the water, with water pumped up a large hose to the jetpack creating their 'flight'. The Jetpack can fly forwards and backwards at up to 25 km/h, as well as hover and turn.

People of all ages and abilities can enjoy Jetpack flights, with most beginners learning to 'fly' in under 10 minutes.

Since their launch, the Jetpacks have provided the SIRC with significant public relations opportunities including film coverage on TEN's The Living Room, Channel [V]'s The Riff and Global Getaways, a travel show broadcast at primetime on national Chinese channel Global Travel Channel. They have also attracted a significant amount of press coverage in both local and national news publications.
