Sydney Gym assists Personal Trainers to increase Retention

North Shore Gym in Pymble, NSW has chosen the IntelliFITNESS software solution for membership management and to improve interaction between its personal trainers and their clients.

The North Shore Gym has over 3,500 members, and 20 subcontracted personal trainers. With an existing high retention rate, owners Ron Hammond and Dugald Pollitt felt that their personal trainers needed to have one to one booking, on line exercise prescription and counselling for their individual clients.

As Pollitt explains "we are providing a level of service to both the trainers and their clients which far exceeds anything we have seen in the market.

"The real benefit for all our members is a closer bond between us and improving their health - we look at retention as something more than dollars and cents - we are a community based operator, and we are here improve the overall health and wellness of our neighbours."

The Intellifitness solution contains more than 3,000 fitness exercises available for personal trainers to build personalised programs along with a full nutrition suite.

Pollitt adds that "the Intellifitness solution gives us a full service capability which is lacking in other systems. We were particularly interested to have a fully integrated system, where there was no 3rd party software and where one provider could provide and end to end solution- we discovered there is only one company that does that, and the integration between the components running at the club and the web is seamless and completely integrated."
