Swimming Australia and EnergyAustralia join forces
The board of Swimming Australia Limited has announced EnergyAustralia as the new principal sponsor of Swimming Australia and the Australian Swim Team for the next five years.
The partnership will see EnergyAustralia as the naming rights sponsor for the EnergyAustralia Swim Team, the 2012 EnergyAustralia Swimming Championships and the EnergyAustralia Go Swim development program among other benefits.
Swimming Australia Chief Executive Kevin Neil believes that the announcement is a huge boost for the sport, stating "we are very excited to welcome EnergyAustralia to the swimming family, just three weeks out from what will be a memorable 2012 EnergyAustralia Swimming Championships in Adelaide.
"In the short term we're looking forward to working with the team at EnergyAustralia to ensure the championships are a huge success both in and out of the pool.
"Beyond that, establishing a strong and powerful partnership with EnergyAustralia over the next five years will provide long lasting benefits to the sport of swimming at both the elite and mass participation levels."
TRUenergy Managing Director Richard McIndoe added "we are proud and excited to be the principal sponsor of Swimming Australia and the Australian Swim Team, and to have the opportunity to power Australia's swimmers to success in the upcoming National Championships, in London and beyond.

The upcoming 2012 EnergyAustralia Swimming Championships in Adelaide will feature Olympic, world and Commonwealth champions including James Magnussen, Leisel Jones, Ian Thorpe, Stephanie Rice, Geoff Huegill, Alicia Coutts, Michael Klim, Libby Trickett and more vying for their spots in the
EnergyAustralia Swim Team and a chance to represent Australia at the 2012 London Olympics.
