Sunshine Coast former surf park project site for sale again
Land approved for a water park and a lifestyle resort on the Sunshine Coast with more than 230 villas has again been put up for sale for the second time this year – presented as Lot 1 & 2, 2652 Steve Irwin Way, Sunshine Coast by Knight Frank Brisbane real estate agency.
The 25 hectares is being offered for sale in one line or two separate parcels.
Lot 1 is 14 hectares and approved for 160 resort villas, retail space and water attractions.
Lot 2 is 11 hectares and approved for 74 resort apartments, water tourist attractions based upon internationally proven technology, a best-in-class water park and surf pool.
The property was initially put on the market early this year after a company linked to the land went into administration. The property was then taken off the market and has now been listed for sale again
Offers to purchase close Friday 29th November at 4pm (AEST).
The Sunshine Coast former surf park project site located at 2652 Steve Irwin Way is situated 9 km north of Australia Zoo, 18 km west of Mooloolaba Beach, 30 km southwest of the Sunshine Coast Airport, 59 km southwest of Noosa and 96 km north of the Brisbane CBD.
The land is located within 100 km of a population catchment of 1.3 million, in addition to the 3.2 million interstate and international tourists visiting the Sunshine Coast each year.
The expansive 25 hectares over two lots offers unmatched potential with the real estate agency noting it is “set apart by a dynamic approval for an international tourist park, surf pool, waterpark, food & beverage, retail outlets and approximately 234 villas/apartments. The exceptional site presents a masterplan unable to be replicated within the Sunshine Coast LGA.
“This carefully crafted opportunity is benefited by a detailed masterplan under the banner of 'Sunshine Coast Water Park, Tourist Attraction and Resort Complex' which holds an extended validity date of April 2030.
“This allows for the immediate development of stage 1 encompassing a Resort Complex (160 Villas) and Tourist Attraction (Water Park) followed by the second stage construction of the Surf Pool and resort (74 Apartments). This extensive delivery timeline is primed to capitalise on the increased growth leading up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games.”
The Offers to Purchase campaign for the property will close at 4pm (AEST) on Friday, 29th November 2024.
