Summit to present new sport infrastructure opportunities in the Arabian Gulf
Being held from 13th to 15th September, the Future Sporting Infrastructure Summit presents the opportunity for delegates to discover new sport infrastructure opportunities that exist in the Arabian Gulf region, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Over the last decade the Arabian Gulf region has risen to prominence in the sporting world with its development of world class sporting infrastructure that will host an increasing number of international events in the future.
Endorsed by the Dubai Sports Council, the Summit is being held at Dusit Thani, Dubai and will feature international case studies that demonstrate the future of the sport architecture industry.
Presentations will include a showcase, for the first time in the Middle East, on the new home of Barcelona FC – a prime example of a 'fan centric' entertainment destination.
Another will cover The Future of Sporting Infrastructure in the UAE, as, in the light of its successful bid to host the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, the UAE has set its sights on even more prestigious international sporting events, even announcing its ambitions of hosting the Summer Olympic Games.
The presentation will highlight key sporting infrastructure projects currently underway in the UAE as well its potential future developments. It will also analyse the many benefits that these projects will bring to the UAE as a whole, including increased tourism revenue and greater levels of social cohesion and community development.
