Summit to present how embracing technology will drive revival of aquatic, fitness and recreation facilities

With aquatic, fitness and recreation centres, clubs and facilities having worked relentlessly over the past 18 months to tackle the ongoing operational challenges caused by the pandemic, the second Fitness and Recreation Industry Technology Summit, being held on Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd February 2022 in Sydney, will include key presentation to guide their road to recovery.

Justin Tamsett, Managing Director of Active Management and host of the Fitness and Recreation Industry Technology Summit (FRITS), explains “the key to thriving, not just surviving, in both short and long-term is embracing technology.

“But not all tech is going to be suitable for you, so you need to filter out the opportunities, products and services that aren’t a good match, and fully engage with those that are a match.”

Joining the Summit, ph360 is a lifestyle program that gives users customized, simple and practical insights for scientifically-proven health.

ph360 Chief Operating Officer, Kyle Riley explains “ph360 is excited to have joined the Summit as an official sponsor and partner for the 2022 event, we believe that technology will do so much more than just deliver online or virtual offerings, and that future success of wellness and fitness businesses will come down to the ability to provide a very precise and personalised experience at every step of the member journey, from communication through to health intervention and support.

“We are very thankful to the FRITS team for holding an event that highlights the important role technology is playing within our industry so that business owners can be fully equipped to take on the ever-evolving landscape.”

Tamsett adds “smart fitness businesses are laser-focused on future-proofing themselves from future lockdowns, making this event more important than ever.

Modelled on the success of overseas ‘tech’ summits, decision makers who attend these two transformative days, will take away the knowledge, skills and strategies to use technology to improve efficiencies, effectiveness and profitability. They’ll achieve this by sharing in expertise from speakers such as Dr. Cameron McDonald (How Tech Unlocks Exercise as Medicine), Rebecca Flint (How Canva Can Make Your Brand), Matt Ware (Geo-Targeting and Geo-Gating For Your Business and many more.”

The Fitness and Recreation Industry Technology Summit is being held at Sydney’s Dockside in Cockle Bay Wharf on 22nd and 23rd February 2022.

Registrations for the Summit are now open.
