Stadium and Arena Congress to address the current age of venue developments
Drawing on expertise in staging the annual World Stadium Congress, organiser IQPC will be staging the Stadium and Arena Australia and New Zealand Congress in Sydney in October.
Being staged at a significant time for venues in Australia and New Zealand, with a range of significant being undertaken in recent years, and with noteable developments underway, the Congress will feature international industry leaders presenting on the design and development of state-of-the-art venues that aim to attract world class content, create innovative fan experiences and drive economic regeneration and community development.
Introducing the event, Stadium and Arena Congress 2016 Conference Director Genelee Mazarello comments “it’s an exciting time for sport and entertainment infrastructure in Australia and New Zealand.
“Government investment, technology developments and changing fan expectations driving shifts in the industry.
“As a result the focus is not only on developing state-ofthe-art structures but putting the fan experience at the centre, attracting world class content, expanding revenue streams and stimulating economic growth.”
The Stadium and Arena Congress 2016 has been developed to provide a holistic industry perspective with insights from a wide range of industry stakeholders, including: governments, owner/operators, project managers and hirers.
Driven by case studies, the event will highlight some of the most iconic stadia of our time by addressing critical topics such as:
• Community integration
• Stimulating economic growth
• Increasing revenue streams
• Putting the fan at the centre
• Attracting more content and hirers
• Integrating technology
• Embedding flexibity
Adding that the Congress is the only event focused on design and development of stadia and arena in the region, Mazarello explained “the conference will focus not only on current challenges, but will look to next generation of sport, technology and fans to future proof stadia.”

Stadium and Arena Congress 2016 is being held at the Novotel Sydney Central on 25th and 26th October.
