SportAccord Gold Coast to explain the role of sport in improving health outcomes

SportAccord has unveiled the second edition of its HealthAccord conference program that will run as part of the SportAccord World Sport and Business Summit on the Gold Coast in May.

Held for the first time at the 2018 SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit in Bangkok last year, ‘The Power of Sport - The Power to Change’ will be held on 7th May during five-day convention.

Introducing the event, HealthAccord c-Chair Professor Margo Mountjoy advised “HealthAccord 2019 is a great opportunity for SportAccord participants to learn from healthcare professionals and technology experts on topics that are relevant for all sports: athlete mental health, nutritional supplements, technological monitoring of athlete injuries and wearable sensors in sport.”

The Gold Coast edition of SportAccord, which runs from 5th to 10th May, will host more than 50 conference sessions with around 100 international speakers and panellists taking part.

The draft program for HealthAccord, which features leading international speakers, can be viewed below.

Besides HealthAccord, the four other conference streams include: The Summit, CityAccord, LawAccord, MediaAccord, and CityAccord.

Delegates can register at the World Sport & Business Summit and take advantage of the early bird rate.

From 10th to 12th December of this year, SportAccord will go to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA for its first regional conference.

Focussed on driving positive change in sport development, SportAccord brings together representatives from more than 100 International Sports Federations.
