Sport Northland offers flexible payments options for gym membership

Regional Sport Trust, Sport Northland has joined forces with Debitsuccess to offer members payment plans as an alternative method of paying.

The alliance sees members able to pay for a Sport Northland, Kensington Fitness membership in regular instalments across any day and any frequency, rather than in one lump sum.

Henrietta Sakey, ASB Leisure Centre Manager, Sport Northland says flexible payments means more options for members, explaining “Sport Northland’s core purpose is ‘Enriching lives through sport’ and endeavours to entice people into sport and recreation through all its areas of operation – having another payment choice makes memberships more affordable, giving individuals a greater opportunity to get out and get active.

“The partnership with Debitsuccess has also made a considerable difference to the pressure on our team. Instead of chasing membership payments; we’re focusing on making Sport Northland’s Kensington Fitness even better.”

Serving a population of over 77,000, Kensington Fitness offers a range of classes from Tai Chi to Body Attack and is home to other facilities including a café, physio, childcare, the latest cardio equipment and the largest gym floor in the region.

Sakey adds “support in setting up the payment solution system has been very helpful and while the process has taken a little while we are just about there.

“While the service is relatively new for us, being able to offer flexible weekly payment options has definitely made memberships easy to sell because of increased choices around affordability.”
