Pakistani sport administrator becomes Provincial Governor
The President of Olympic Association of Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) has taken up the role of Governor of the Province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Engineer Shaukatullah Khan recently took the oath of office at a ceremony at the Governor's House attended by provincial ministers, parliamentarians both from the province and FATA, Peshawar based diplomats and senior government officials along with prominent political figures, tribal elders, elite of the city and well wishers of the new Governor.
Khan belongs to tribal area Bajaur Agency and during his presidency of the FATA Olympic Assocuation, an affiliated unit of the Pakistan Olympic Association, he has been credited with considerable advances in the promotion of sport in the federaly administrated tribal area.
