Space themed Goldfields KidsFest set to blast off in Kalgoorlie-Boulder
Youngsters in Kalgoorlie-Boulder are looking forward to the annual Goldfields KidsFest, being held on 5th and 6th July.
This year's event will feature headline performances by former X Factor winner and star of INXS: Never Tear Us Apart, Samantha Jade; as well as Peppa Pig and Scooby Doo.
Childen will also enter a whole new world of fun with a space-themed festival, sponsored by Healthway and promoting the healthy eating message - Go For 2&5.
The free event for Goldfields children aged under 12 is held at at the Goldfields Oasis and Playing Fields and features 13 exciting worlds full of hands-on activities including kids kitchen, arts and crafts, sports and fitness, construction, splash zone and a playhouse for under fives.
An astronaut training centre and a galactic makeover salon have been included for the 2014 festival, where kids can be transformed into weird, wonderful and colourful out-of-this-world alien creatures. Little aliens can also visit the zero gravity zone and intergalactic pod - a mysterious space room which features slime and all things extra terrestrial.
