Sold-out music festival BASSINTHEGRASS returns to Darwin tomorrow
The Northern Territory’s all-ages music festival, BASSINTHEGRASS, returns to Darwin tomorrow attracting thousands of interstate and local event goers to Mindil Beach.
After selling out several weeks ago, this year’s BASSINTHEGRASS returns bigger than ever with a record-breaking 16,000 tickets sold. Gates open at 11.30am tomorrow, with 12 hours of non-stop entertainment across two stages from some of the biggest names in Aussie music, as well as the BASSINTHEGRASS Territory Artists Competition winners.
BASSINTHEGRASS is delivered by Northern Territory Major Events Company on behalf of the Northern Territory Government.
There will be even more activations at the 2022 event, including the BASS Beauty Bar, Sunset Disco Beach Club, Glitter & Glow Illumination Station, Silent Disco, Live Street Art Site and more.
Following a hugely successful 2021 BASSINTHEGRASS, DanceWize will again be on site to offer free advice to festival goers. The evidence-based, peer alcohol and other drugs harm-reduction group will ensure music fans have the best experience possible.
BASSINTHEGRASS ticket holders are reminded their ticket includes free travel on the Urban Bus Network, with free bus services from the City, Casuarina, Palmerston and the Rural Area.
Music fans should allow extra time when travelling to Mindil Beach, to take into account additional road closures.
NT Major Events Company Chief Executive Tim Watsford notes “the Top End is buzzing with thousands of visitors from across Australia, many who are here for the Territory’s biggest and best music festival, BASSINTHEGRASS.
“Located in one of the most picturesque locations, BASSINTHEGRASS is a must-do for people of all ages with 12 hours of incredible entertainment across two stages.
“Everything is ready to go for another record-breaking event, and we cannot wait to welcome music fans back to Mindil Beach for another amazing instalment of BASSINTHEGRASS.”
Event goers are reminded there are no pass-outs at BASSINTHEGRASS, so vote in the Federal Election before you arrive. This year’s BASS is a sold-out event, and people are advised not to purchase tickets from unauthorised resellers.
