Smart Connection Strategies for Success

While headlines talk of recession, consultants the Smart Connection Company have been working with a number of aquatic and recreation centres on how to focus on attracting discretionary spending and reducing negative âbottom lineâ impact.
From this work, the Smart Connection Company have developed a strategy, â101 ways to improve the bottom lineâ that can assist leisure industry clients.
Consisting of framework and checklist, one aspect of the strategy that the Smart Connection Company is actively promoting is the importance of organisationâs people. With Smartâs âFour R Connectionâ the consultancy explores how to:
1. Retain staff â with flexibility of roles, commitment and access to funding to help keep people on the âshopâ floor;
2. Re-skill people - exploring training solutions (many funded by government) to introduce new skills in the workforce;
3. Re-deploy people â considering the movement of staff from one area of the business to another, to keep staff and their knowledge on site; and
4. Re-engage â open the doors to people who you may not have considered before such as school students under apprenticeship schemes or people who have been made redundant. Utilise these people as volunteers and train them in areas of general need.

As Smart Connection Company continues the business is also looking for additional staff and currently has vacancies for a Consultancy Manager, a Training Coordinator and Trainers.

For more information on any of the above roles, or to find out how to apply, contact Tricia Phillips at Smart Connection Company on 03 8696 7500.
