Royalty Free Music an Answer to Licensing Fee Rises?

With the imminent announcement of the Copyright Tribunal's final ruling in the long running dispute over the Phonographic Performance Company of Australia Limited's (PPCA) request to change both the rate and the nature of the licence fee paid by fitness clubs and recreation centres, Trax Music is set to offer a solution with the launch of a wide range of high quality, royalty-free cover music.

A statement from TRAX Music and the Australian Fitness Network explains "although we are all hoping for the best possible outcome in the case of the fitness industry versus the PPCA, TRAX Music and Australian Fitness Network want to assure you, our valued members and customers, that if necessary, there will be an alternative to paying royalties on the music you play in your classes."

A full catalogue of royalty-free music catering for all group fitness class styles is now available for browsing, in addition to Trax's regular original artist music releases.

Trax Music is planning further updates on this matter.
