Royal Sydney Golf Club names new Chief Executive

The Royal Sydney Golf Club has announced the appointment of Des Mulcahy as its new Chief Executive.

Mulcahy brings a wealth of experience to the famous gold club gained through roles in hospitality, finance and marketing in both Australia and the UK and, most recently, having spent the past 12 years as General Manager of Sydney’s Tattersalls Club.

Advising that, following an extensive recruitment search, Mulcahy’s knowledge, experience and personal attributes proved to be the ideal for the role, Royal Sydney President, Lucy Regan stated “during his time at Tattersalls Club, Des has been instrumental in growing the club through the creation of a clear vision and strategic plan as well as focusing on enhancing the overall experience at the club.

“He possesses strong leadership skills, creativity and an engaging and personable manner, with a passion for sport and a willingness to embrace a challenge.”

“These traits combined with his rich professional experience will no doubt see Des excel in his role at Royal Sydney as the Club undergoes exciting developments in the years ahead.”

Mulcahy (pictured) will formally join Royal Sydney in mid-January.
