Royal Adelaide Show welcomes 500,000 visitors
After nine days of fun, this year's Royal Adelaide Show has come to an end.
While final visitation figures are not yet available, show organisers had been expected to attract more than 500,000 visitors (almost 30% of the South Australia's population) to the event at the city's Wayville Showground.
South Australia's longest running and largest community event, run by the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia, offered experiences from carnival rides, exhibitions and attractions to exquisite handicraft, cookery and a wide variety of champion livestock and animals.
The Show, claimed to be the second oldest show in the world will turn 175-years-old in 2014.
