Regan Moves Across the Tasman

Swimming New Zealand has signed top Australian swimming coach Mark Regan to help develop the sport.

Regan arrives in New Zealand on Sunday to take up his new position, replacing Jan Cameron who has moved in to a general manager role.

Regan (pictured)  has been head coach of Denmark for the last seven years and was previously head coach at the Australian Institute of Sport.

Cameron says it will be a very hands-on role for Regan, explaining that Regan will be replacing her and directly helping swimmers and coaches throughout the country. Cameron says Regan has been a big reason why Denmark, not recognised before as a swimming nation, has made dramatic improvements in the sport over the last few years.
