Ready Steady Go Kids expands children's activity program Victoria and Singapore
Adelaide-based children's activity franchise Ready Steady Go Kids has experienced an impressive jump in national locations from 40 to in excess of 70 in just one year.
July has seen three new Victorian territories, Essendon, Albert Park and Hawthorn, purchased by current franchisees keen to take advantage of the program's popularity.
This follows the commencement of their first international franchise in Singapore.
Carmen Dodds who, to add to her business' growth over the last six months, has just taken on the franchise for the Albert Park region explains "Ready Steady Go Kids has been a wonderful experience with exceptional support and guidance from the friendly and understanding team in head office."
Franchisee Danie O'Connor, who has now added Essendon to her three existing franchise territories, adds "I've had nothing but positive experiences with the program and head office."
Designed for children aged from two-and-a-half to six years, Ready Steady Go Kids aims to create positive attitudes to exercise that children will carry with them for life. Classes cover the fundamentals of 10 different sports while developing age-appropriate motor skills. Kids also learn about the concept of sportsmanship by taking turns, playing by the rules and cooperating with their peers. The program is seen as a a great precursor to school days ahead.
In addition to its domestic franchises, the company's first Singapore operation, purchased by businessman Wee Lee Chua, began on 1st July.
Chua says he plans to grow the business rapidly to meet burgeoning demand. His ultimate target is to teach in 50 childcare centres and 20 independent locations across the city, with many of those classes starting by Term 1, 2013.
By offering the program at so many locations on a range of days and at a wide selection of times, Chua hopes that young children throughout Singapore will be able to benefit from the program, stating "I want to help the nation build a sporting culture its one of the big things I love about Australia.
"I am truly passionate about sport and believe it is a wonderful tool to bring people together, teach life lessons and unite people of different backgrounds."
Operating since 2004 and owned by Stuart and Toni Derbyshire, Ready Steady Go Kids offers has opened more than 30 new locations across the country in the last year while undergoing a complete re-brand, and introducing a new website with online enrolments.
The company's upcoming plans include introducing Ready Steady Go Kids into New Zealand and expanding further into Asia, with a further three international franchises expected to be announced in the next quarter.
