Rainbow's End Secures Site
Rainbow's End theme park in South Auckland has agreed an extension of its lease with Manukau City Council.
After five years of negotiating, the park's operator, New Zealand Experience, has announced that the lease has been extended beyond its expiry date in 2019 until 2034.
As part of the new agreement the park will lose part of its land for an extension of the Manukau District Court House.
As a result of the land being returned to the council, the park's Power Surge ride is to be moved, but New Zealand Experience will be compensated for the costs involved.
