PeopleVisionFX introduce new special effects technology
PeopleVisionFX, a USA based company which produces and markets creative special effects for theme parks, museums and corporate exhibits has made available their latest technology, the MagicMirror.
The MagicMirror provides the opportunity for visitors to see their own reflection in a mirror that appears to read their minds. When someone looks into the mirror, thought bubbles appear that seem to read the observer’s thoughts.
According to PeopleVisionFX President, Wayne Sullivant, the MagicMirror utilises unique PeopleVisionFX technologies to “creates a captivating experience with the capacity to tell a compelling story.”
By bringing the visitor into the MagicMirror’s imaginative world, those stories can be told in a fun and entertaining forum. Since the observer is actually reflected as a part of the presentation, the display creates a unique “selfie” opportunity. Applications also allow for the superimposition of graphic effects such as animations and videos.
The MagicMirror can be produced in virtually any size. It is modular and upwardly compatible so that the effect can be upgraded in the future to incorporate new content. In addition, the technology is compact, adaptable and reliable, with no moving parts.
PeopleVisionFX technologies include a unique system for three dimensional video projection. Products using this technique include the SpokesMannequin®, an animated figure that accurately reproduces the voice, likeness and expressive nuances of a live presenter. In addition to the SpokesMannequin, other dimensional video products from PeopleVisionFX include the Anatomical VideoSculpture™ and FollowTech™ effects. PeopleVisionFX technologies also include the company’s PhotonOpticon™ holographic effects where video images of varying levels of translucency are projected onto a transparent screen. Unlike ordinary holograms, PhotonOpticon images are able to move and to incorporate synchronized audio.
PhotonOpticon™ technology is behind the holographic Curator which was created for the new ArtHouse museum in Singapore. The PhotonOpticon™ technology that makes the Curator possible is a translucent video projection on a transparent screen. Unlike a traditional hologram, the Curator is able to move and to incorporate synchronized audio.
Other PeopleVisionFX clients include the Hong Kong Science Museum
