Organisers cancel National Officiating Summit 2024

Event organisers along with support from their Advisory committee have made the decision to cancel the National Officiating Summit 2024. This follows the event having already been postponed from last year to 2024.

Organisers advised that “despite widespread acclaim and national interest in a dedicated event for Australia’s sports officiating industry, the current uptake of partnerships and ticket sales has made staging this pioneering event unfeasible.”

The organisers are devastated by this outcome after collaborating with the greatest collection of speakers, academic researchers and exhibitors to assemble an outstanding line-up into one specialist event.

The organisers hoped a National Officiating Summit would provide a platform to pioneer change.

Organisers added “unfortunately the backing received by the industry as a whole, including from the highest levels of sport federations and authorities, has not been sufficient to make this event opportunity a reality.

“It is widely agreed that Australia’s officiating industry needs change in order to tackle the multiple challenges it faces, from grassroots to the professional level.”

“We wish to deeply thank those sports, individuals, speakers, advisors, exhibitors and partners for their commitment to a brand new concept designed to unite, inspire, connect and share officiating.”

All ticket purchasers will be issued a full refund in the next 30 days.
