OneQode and LetsPlay.Live collaborate for delivery of Asia-Pacific Esports League
Digital infrastructure provider, OneQode has partnered with LetsPlay.Live (LPL), one of the world's most established esports and gaming content broadcasters to deliver competitions across Asia Pacific.
With this collaboration, Asia-Pacific will have access to the kind of esports infrastructure enjoyed by players in Europe & North America.
The partnership kicks off by delivering a major Counter-Strike 2 esports project for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region: OneQode Frontier Grassroots presented by LetsPlay.Live. The tournament is open to Counter-Strike players aged 16 years and over located in APAC, including Oceania, South-East Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Players will compete for a share of a US $6,000 prize pool.
The upcoming competition will be hosted on both the LetsPlay.Live website and OneQode’s platform, leveraging both OneQode’s latency-optimised Asia-Pacific-wide digital infrastructure, and LPL’s expertise in producing and delivering quality live esports events. OneQode Frontier Grassroots stands to be one of the first tournaments available to teams in Asia-Pacific for Counter-Strike 2: the latest instalment in the widely popular Counter-Strike video game franchise released this year.
Ben Cooper, Chief Architect of OneQode noted "Our partnership with LPL has the potential to create the world’s largest gaming region by connecting the entire Asia-Pacific. With an increase in players, teams, and events, we have the opportunity to build an unparalleled esports ecosystem that surpasses anything seen before."
Matt Shearing, Chief Executive of OneQode added "this collaboration with LPL aligns perfectly with OneQode’s mission to build the foundation for the next decade of connected experiences. With this partnership, Asia-Pacific will finally have access to the kind of esports infrastructure enjoyed by players in Europe & North America."
Duane Mutu, Founder and Chief Executive of LPL enthused "we are extremely excited to be working with OneQode on this groundbreaking esports project. Their innovative technology and vision, combined with our platform and established expertise in the Counter-Strike esports space, will help us bring unparalleled gaming experiences to the Asia-Pacific region and redefine the future of CS esports."
