Greg Oliver Moves to Head Goodlife

Ardent Leisure owned Goodlife Health Clubs has appointed Greg Oliver to the position of Chief Executive.

A fitness industry professional with more than 30 years experience in managing health clubs, Oliver will be tasked with growing the national Goodlife portfolio.

Oliver is excited about the new challenge, stating "the Goodlife brand is well respected in the fitness community both locally and internationally.

"I look forward to working with the team to continue their great work and further cement Goodlife's position as Australia's leading health club chain."

Prior to joining Goodlife, Oliver was Chief Executive of the Genesis Group, a 38 club portfolio operating in five Australian states. In addition to owning and operating a number of clubs, he was the founding creator of Debit Success, Australia's leading fitness direct debit and membership software provider, and was a director of Corpfit Training Solutions, one of Australia's largest privately owned registered training organisations.

Oliver replaces Leon McNiece, the founder of Goodlife Health Clubs, who resigned in May to embrace new challenges and pursuits.

McNiece launched the first Goodlife Health Club in Queensland in 2002, growing the portfolio to 40 clubs across Australia before selling the group to Ardent Leisure.

The Goodlife network includes seven clubs in Western Australia, six clubs in South Australia, four clubs in Victoria, three clubs in NSW and 18 clubs in Queensland.

Today, Goodlife welcomes more than 100,000 members and prides itself on creating a welcoming environment combining fitness, health, nutrition and wellbeing.
