NSWRL All Schools Carnival celebrates 75th Anniversary

NSW Rugby League are celebrating their 75th All Schools Carnival in Western Sydney from 7th to 8th August, showcasing some of the state’s youngest and brightest Rugby League talent.

The All Schools Carnival involves schools from across regional NSW including Banora Point, Kyogle, Denman, Wingham, Port Macquarie, Bega, Dubbo, Ballina, the Hunter and Central Coast against teams from throughout Sydney at St Marys Leagues Stadium, The Kingsway and Whalan Reserve.

NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden commented: “The All Schools Carnival provides another platform for aspiring Rugby League players and it’s always entertaining to see some of the skills on show.

“The matches are always competitive and I trust they will be played in the right spirt. It promises to be a great two days as we celebrate our 75th anniversary and I’m looking forward to it.”

Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues halfback Nathan Cleary, and NRL players Mitchell Moses, Luke Brooks, Bronson Xerri and Kyle Flanagan are all graduates of the All Schools Carnival.

There will also be players involved who represented NSW in an Under-16 match against Pasifika in May including Thomas Weaver and Reef Sommerville (St Joseph’s College Banora Point) and Oryn Keeley (Waldalba Community School) after their schools both made it through this season.

The All Schools Carnival will involve 150 staff and volunteers managing more than 200 games and 12 Grand Finals in 48 hours.
