Nominate for New Zealand's Event Industry Awards

The New Zealand Association of Event Professional (NZAEP) is inviting nominations for the 2009 Event Industry Awards.
The awards recognise excellent business practice in the events industry and encourage industry professionals to raise the overall standards of practice in New Zealand.
The Awards, presented annually by NZAEP, recognise outstanding achievement in five categories: Best Emerging Event, Best Established Event, Best Marketing of Event, Best Partnership for an Event and Best Environmentally Sustainable Event.
The judging panel consists of industry specialists selected across various event disciplines throughout New Zealand.
Winners will be announced at the Eventing The Future conference being held at the Bayview Wairakei Resort, Taupo on 6th and 7th August.
Winners in each category will receive a trophy, framed certificate and Award Winner logo for use on marketing material. Results will also be forwarded to key media nationally.

Award Categories

Best Emerging Event

Entrants to this category will be new annual or biennial events. Any event that has occurred once or twice over the last two years will be eligible. Emerging events will demonstrate innovation, new practice and initiative in economic, environmental, social and cultural sustainability.

Best Marketing of Event

Entrants to this category will prove that they have achieved their marketing outcomes and demonstrate innovation and the effectiveness of their promotion.

Best Established Event

Entrants to this category will have had five or more consecutive occurrences of the same event. They will demonstrate innovation, rejuvenation and initiative in economic, environmental, social and cultural sustainability.

Best Partnership for an Event

Entrants to this category will be in partnership with a sponsor or funding organisation, a supplier, a charity or a community group. They will demonstrate innovation, best practice and effective event outcomes to the satisfaction of both parties.

Best Environmentally Sustainable Event

Entrants to this category will demonstrate a systematic approach towards making their event environmentally sustainable.

Award nominations need to be made online, with entries closing 5pm, Friday 3rd July 2009.
