New Triple Cell design creates a revolution in Pool Blanket Technology

A world first in the design of swimming pool blanket technology is about to be made available to aquatic facilities across Australia.

The innovative technology promises enhanced energy efficiency, and reduced pool heating costs, along with enhance operating efficiency.

The creative designer is Perth director of Elite Pool Covers, John Webb, who has been a driving force in the pool blanket industry in Australia since 1989.

Pool blankets have always followed the traditional ' round bubble wrap' design since the late seventies and the new look 'triple cell' shape is set to revolutionise the industry.

The better heating features of the Elite Triple Solar Cell blanket is due to the removal of a 'dead zone' that exists in the standard bubble designs. By forming a solar cell that can collect energy better the triple cell can heat the water better.

Three bubbles formed into one provides better insulation with a bigger 'still air zone' and a base that is 60% thicker.

The added shape and thickness of Elite Triple Solar Cell also offers more protection from chlorine attack and harmful UV rays.

Webb explains “these new pool blankets are subject to a special manufacturing process that gives them a more uniform thickness at the sides, top and base of the big cell - unlike the traditional round bubble design that has an inconsistent thickness and hence a shorter life expectancy.

“You can only do so much with a round bubble, so we designed the perfect shaped cell.”

Elite Saltsafe and Chlorsafe technology is incorporated into the Elite Triple Cell solar thermal pool blanket to ensure a longer life in the sunshine and pool water conditions of an Australian swimming pool.

Pool owners will notice several differences in the new Elite Triple Cell pool blankets with a deeper blue colour caused by the thicker surfaces as well as a flat fit over the water that is easier to operate onto a pool and easier to wind onto or inside a storage unit.

Webb comments "we have thoroughly tested the Elite Triple Solar Cell pool blanket on 100, s of Australian swimming pools and we are convinced we have a product that will revolutionise the pool blanket industry."

Each year over 3,000 new pools are installed in Western Australian homes and nearly 12,000 around Australia. All must comply with regulations to have a pool blanket cover to prevent water loss.

A swimming pool is a major domestic investment and the Triple Cell Solar Blanket by Elite will protect and enhance that investment.

The Elite Triple Solar Cell will not only perform brilliantly at preventing water loss but will reduce the need for cleaning chemicals, keep airborne debris out of the pool and raise the water temperature so that the swimming season is extended and made more enjoyable.

Webb adds "and it does all those things better than any other pool blanket on the market because of the triple cell design.”

Owners of established pools can choose to upgrade to the Elite Triple Solar Cell product when replacing their pool blankets once they see the features and benefits that only add 10% to the cost of the older styled designs.

Elite Pool Covers will still manufacture and sell the industries best round bubble solar blanket ‘Super Bubble’ in three thickness levels from 400mic to 550mic with pro rata warranties from five years to 10 years depending on the thickness.

The Elite Triple Solar Cell pool blanket has a thickness of 610mic and a pro-rated warranty period of 12 years.

Webb concludes “our pool blanket installation team love the new Elite Triple Solar Cell as it is so easy to custom cut into a pool, it lays so flat, works so well and will last up to 12 years with reasonable care.”

Elite Pool Covers are all manufactured in Australia and sold across the country as well as into an export market in New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, France and United Arab Emirates.
