New national Chief Executive at Australian Institute of Fitness

The Australian Institute of Fitness has announced the appointment of Dyanne Ward as Chief Executive of its national office.
With over 25 years working in fitness, Ward brings a wealth of experience, expertise and ast understanding of the industry to the Institute as well as a diverse range of experience across areas including aged care, consulting engineering and management consulting.
Dyanne has held executive roles in privately owned and public companies, as well as not-for-profits while her university qualifications cover sports training, exercise physiology and recreation management. She also holds post-graduate qualifications in law and supported her professional development through the Australian Graduate School of Management. Always having had a passion for the fitness industry, Ward has seen it grow from a cottage industry to where it is today, turning over more than $3 billion annually. She is committed to contributing to the industry's continued growth and professionalism by ensuring highly qualified graduates enter the industry with outstanding skills and an assured future.
With Australian Institute of Fitness at the forefrontof fitness courses and careers, Dyanne will be leading the company forward through a continued focus on delivering outstanding courses outstanding not only in curriculum and content, but in the student experience.
She explains "I am delighted to be given the opportunity to work at the Australian Institute of Fitness. I have a deep respect for its founders and directors who have shown a firm commitment to the industry over many years. I look forward to working with the directors to take the Institute to its next level of success."
Ward commenced her career in the fitness industry as a group fitness instructor, quickly moving to management and then to corporate wellness consulting. She spent a number of years with an international fitness industry association and transitioned to a national health club chain. After moving industries for a few years Dyanne knew her passion lay in fitness, and the Australian Institute of Fitness was an obvious choice.
Ward adds "the Institute's mission is to train warriors against SeDS - sedentary death syndrome, with the goal to change people lives; firstly our graduates through enabling them to embark on a career which they can be passionate, and secondly with their clients, who benefit by the support of a well qualified industry professional. My personal values are aligned with this goal and throughout my years in the fitness industry I looked to having a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of those I worked with."
Dyanne is based at the national office in St Leonards, NSW and leads a growing team of industry experts and a strong executive team servicing the growth of the business in five states.
