New manager for Sweeney Sports
Andrew Green has been appointed General Manager of Sweeney Sports, the sports, entertainment and leisure arm of Sweeney Research.
Green joins Sweeney Sports after returning to Australia having spent the past five years as a Director of KantarSport (formerly TNS Sport UK).
A qualitative and quantitative researcher, he has specialised on projects for commercial and brand managers of global sporting bodies and sponsors about fans' engagement with sports, the return on investment of sponsor activities and their fit with brand strategies and vision.
Announcing the appointment, Sweeney Research Chair David Barmer stated "Andrew's extensive international experience will add a new dimension to Sweeney Sports, helping it to develop and expand."
Green's responsibilities will include the Sweeney Sports Report which, now in its 24th year, is recognised as Australiaâs definitive sports industry study.
He holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from the University of South Australia and a graduate certificate in Sports Management from Deakin University.
